Wont start

Asked by GuruDJW4J Oct 01, 2017 at 11:17 AM about the 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 Coupe FWD

Question type: General

99 cavalier I was driving it and it just
started blowing antifreeze and the car
shut off. It didn't get hot or jump
around. Had it towed home. Hubby put
a set of plugs in it. It still won't start. It
will spin over like its not getting gas
but the pump is good. And it's getting
enough gas. Any suggestions??

Compression check if it overheated. Blowing antifreeze tells me you might have a blown head gasket. I would still check compression. If good check fuel pressure. Fuel relay? Any check engine codes?
