A light came on on my dash that say's (ETS off) What dose it mean? and what should I do about it? my car is a 1999 Cavalier convertible

this light comes on when I'm going slow, but when I SPEED UP it goes back off

It means your "Electronic Traction System" is turned off. This will happen in an automatic transmission cavalier when manually placed in 1st (and possibly 2nd?) gear with the shifter.
