Why does my 1986 toyota corolla sr5 1.6 get terrible, terrible gas milegae?

Maybe becuase it isn't running efficiently. Have you replaced the ignition components, like spark plugs, cleaned the fuel system, replaced filters? Any lights on the dash flashing at you? Tires properly inflated?

I have done all of the above, and there are not any lights flashing on the dash.


r there any smokes from it ?


Your oxygen sensor may need replacing.

maybe your fuel regulator is stuffed?


maybe there is a hole in the gas tank....haha J/K.
