Question type: Maintenance & Repair

There is an oil line going to the oil pan.  When I try to take it loose, to remove the pump, it leaks oil.  Where it that coming from?  Is it alright to take it off while I do the work on the pump?

Spent a couple of hours doing research on this subject. Apparently it is goies to a oil cooling unit. Going to plug it while I am replacing the pump.
