How do I test my compressor on my 1987 toyota camry le. The clutch wo'nt engage?
I converted my R12 to R134 and I can't seem to get my A/C compressor to
come on. The lights work but there is no clutch.
There is a low pressure switch that may be the cause of it not engaging ... did you have a problem before doing anything?
I'm not sure where that is on my Toyota. Do you know? I am trying to check my relays as we speak.. Thanks for your response1 Ken
Here's a great video ... this will show you what to look for and how it works ... you don't have a High cutoff ... just a low but it will look the same https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMi3VDkPdCo
Are you sure you did the entire conversion process correctly? If all was working fine before, you may have missed a step. Here is a video on how to convert R12 to R134a. Check it out and see if you did all of the correct steps................................................................. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__alchrw7CE
