replaced battery in honda accord 1989, but battery light is on.

battery  has  been  replaced ,  but the   battery  light is  on  , in the dash  
board

Battery light lit up on the dash always signals a charging issue, not the battery itself. So the alternator could be the problem or the wiring. What is the voltage when you probe the battery with the engine running? Should be 14V. Your local auto part store can check the condition of the alternator if your not mechanically inclined.
