I have a 1989 Honda accord that quit running it has spark and fuel,i checked the timing belt and did a compression test and all cylinders were good.I sprayed starting fluid in thottel body and still wouldn't start.i even put gas down the spark plug holes and still couldn't get it to enen start for a second.it will fire every so often but that's it.i don't know what else to do.does anyone have any ideas.i would really appriceate it THANKS
you could test for presence of 12 volts at the positive side of the coil (with the key in the "on" position)...look at the distributor cap to make sure it has the little springy button in the cap yet~...and is not cracked~
not seeing the "ballast resistor" may have been another car~
you have an "ignitor"...change it out with a junkyard one~
