The turn signals do not work in my 1988 honda accord. My mechanic changed the fuses and checked everything and still doesnt know. The brake lights work headlights work just no blinkers. Any thoughts
the turn signal switch is bad on the steering column.
You said he checked the fuses but did he check the flasher relay. it will cause them not to work.
bandit hit it! I don't believe your mechanic checked anything else. You should hear a clicking sound under the dash when your blinkers are engaged. If you don't, either the flasher relay is bad or it is not getting power from the column lever. You need to check both & the easiest way is to get a replacement flasher & put it in. If it works fine, if not, time to start checking the wires from the flasher to the switch and then the switch itself.
