Does the 1988 Honda Accord LXI Coupe have a module for the rear window defrosters?
Rear defrosters aren't working and
thinking contacts are dirty or maybe
there's a module that needs to be
I suppose you could call it a module, but it's really a relay. The defroster draws too much amperage to run it through the switch on the dash, so it uses a relay, or solenoid. About $8 and that is very possible that is the trouble. In this it is nOT the one circled in red, it is way on the left click on it
If you have a meter - check for power on the rear window grid. If there is no power, click the switch a few times and you might hear/feel which relay is firing. There should be a fuse in the same box for the system - check that while you're in there. Honda may use the same type of relay in several circuits, if so you can swap relays with something you don't need as much such as air conditioning.
