Question type: Maintenance & Repair

How does one adjust (fast) idle to 2000 rpm during cold start..Where (or is there)  a fast idle
screw adjustment for the fast idle cam?  Vacuum and electric choke operational.
I know where and how to adjust the idle (750rpm) once engine has warmed up.  thanks

What kind of carburetor do you have? Usually the fast idle screw is on the right (passenger's) side of the carburetor. With the engine fully warmed up shut it off. Slightly open the throttle and close the choke plate. While holding the choke plate closed release the throttle. Start the engine without touching the gas pedal. Adjust the fast idle screw to the 2000 RPM setting. Tap the gas pedal to bring it off fast idle. HTH. -Jim
