Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2000 Chevy Suburban just hit 170k. I love this thing to death and want it to last as long as possible. Transmission still good and engine still runs great. Just wondering if anyone has any tips about prolonging the life of my truck besides frequent oil changes, tune ups and general routine maintenance. Thanks

yes, part of a good routine that seems to never get done is a trans. fluid change, grease all joints, wheel bearings and universals .coolant change with pump lube added, a good clean battery connection to frame also, and small ground wires to fender wells and body. gear lube, transfer lube change . rislone engine gum remover, mystery oil by directions. used oil blast undercarriage, after power wash salt residue undercarriage. easy takeoffs from starts
