This question is about a 2000 Mercedes-Benz 230 SLK, automatic transmission.
I had a vibration around the shifter
area. It would make noise & go away
at different speeds & in different
gears. Very annoying. I was told to
replace the flex disc, which I did.
Evidently I wasted my money, time,
effort. The old flex disc looked ok to
me. But it still vibrates. Anybody have
any other ideas I could try?
Also my drivers side mirror has
yellowed. I've heard this happens
because of the auto - dimming feature
giving up. I've seen how to remove the
mirror to replace it. But that looks to
involved for me. Does anybody know
of a regularly sized mirror that could
be double-faced taped to the old
Thanks in advance.
The vibration around your shifter is a very easy fix + a $5 part from MB. All you need to do is replace the shifter bushing (green) which is placed between the shifter and the lever.
