I would be a first time Mercedes owner but I am afraid a large repair bills.
Does anyone have any experieince with high mileage vehicles?
You will need to do more maintanence on a higher mileage car. If you can do a lot of the work yourself and can turn a wrench you will save a lot of money. If your not mechanically inclined you can find a local independent garage to do the repairs cheaper than the dealer. But if you hate large repair bills, I personally wouldn't be purchasing an older Mercedes without a warranty.
Don't do it Mercedes rips you off on everything, Top motor $3,000 then ABC $2,800 and the car only has 60,000 miles plus a broken plastic part the size of a roll of quarters $325. Mercedes is a rip off and Mercedes never returns emails or calls.
Our experiences will vary from yours. I own many high mileage Mercedes, every experience is vastly different, depending on how well the prior owner took care of it. Just like a new wife that used to be someone else's wife, quality will vary depending on prior pampering, or not.
