my car was in a lightning strike and now the brake lights won't turn off. I
detached the battery and it turned off. What issue do I need to fix?

You'll need a pro to go through the electrical system to determine what was burned.

Possibly the brake light switch connections are fused together. Unplug the brake light switch to see if the lights go out. If they do, replace the switch.
