Motor starts when the outside temperature drops below freezing

My daughters used car from Alabama that the motor stats up when the outside
temperture drops below freezing. How do I disconnect it?

Thanks Mark but, I just want to prevent it from a everyday occurrence. I guess I may have to take it to an electrical shop.
