while driving my mercedes 2001 e320 and brakes not in use the abs,bas,esc lights came on and it lost power.brakes worked when stopping but would not restart. replaced battery and still would not start. what is wrong?

Something like this happened to me. It was caused by the fan that cools the "control modules" box under the hood seizing up. That caused several of the modules to overheat and shut down as well as melting some of the cables that connected said modules. In the end, the car was towed to a mechanic and several hundred dollars later, it was working fine again.
