my key won't turn in the ignition
Try to move steering wheel back n forth while turning key..
I tried this and it still won't turn
Not sure what else to try .bemers are not in my list of cars I've worked on.
This can be caused by low battery,or your anti theft system in your car, meaning the car does not recaonize the key,
Your key might be worn, try moving it up and down while gently turning.
I had this problem earlier today. After two hours of trying everything I Googled I started checking fuses. There are 3 different fuses that can cause this. The one that was the problem is In the fuse box underneath the hood if standing on driver side looking at the fuse box, it is the top right fuse. Mine had a number 5 on it but I believe the diagram I found online had it numbered 57. While pulling each fuse to see if they were all still good, I pulled this one and it was fine then put it back in. Heard the click in the ignition and it turned right on. So the fuse was just completely plugged in.
Not completely plugged in *
