Dear stenge- The answer to your question is that you can't do it. The service light on your 1999 Mercedes E320 can only be reset by hooking your car up to a PGM tool at a dealership or a very sophisticated repair shop. According to Dawn in the service department at Chambers Motorcars in Somerville, Ma., it would only take 15 or 20 minutes if you brought it to her. Good luck from Bovan.

You can reset your self. Turn key to position 2, push "O" button twice within four seconds. Turn ignition off. Turn ignition back on and at the same time push and hold "0" button for ten seconds. The dash will then show next mileage interval. Turn ignition back off and on. There are several videos on Youtube on how to do this.
