Could the fuel filter on my 2000 Chevy lumina be the problem?

Asked by May 28, 2015 at 02:07 AM about the 2000 Chevrolet Lumina 4 Dr STD Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 Chevy lumina and I was driving yesterday with it
extremely low on gas. I got about 2 blocks and it had died.
Assuming that I had ran out of gas I went and got some . After
putting in more then a gallon it wouldn't start and has not started
since. So could sediment be blocking the fuel filter causing it to not
start?

it could, but not really is there no sign of starting?,

It does turn over. It just isn't firing.
