2000 lumina will not crank. Starter will not spin over.
Turn the key to on position and all the cluster lights come on. Turn to start position and nothing happens. Cluster
lights stay on while trying to start car. Radio light goes out while in start position. Security light flashes.
All indicator lights are supposed to light when starting your car, that shows you they work. I am thinking the battery is too weak to crank the car but has enough juice to light up dash, but the security light flashing might mean there may be a problem with the key transponder. Try another key to begin. If that does not work, get a jump start and see if that does it, something may have drained it, like you accidentally left on a dome light, and get your OBD codes read, do not pay to have them scanned. Go to a large parts store like AutoZone or the like
Security system on your car is a pass lock 2 it will disable the fuel injectors so that can be ruled out. The key itself doesn't have a transponder in it, the security resistor in on the lock cylinder in the dash/steering column depending on the cylinder mounting location.
