How do I drain the cooling system?

I'm planning to replace both radiator hoses (upper & lower).

On the lower driver or passenger side of the radiator, there is a plug known as the "petcock" Being a 2000 model, you should be able to turn it counter-clockwise and pull out gently on it. Please award points if this helps
