2000 z24 cavilier

My car suddenly doesn't want to shift into
2nd ,4 th and reverse, others work,  clitch
seems fine,  I just purchased and while
under hood,  noticed previous owner had
zip tied something right ther e at part I
was manual shifting under hood.  Any
suggestions?

You post is pretty incoherent but maybe there is a problem with the shifting linkage.
