how do i get your turn signals to work on a chevy cavalier even though the 4 ways still work

I will pay for part but not an installation need to
know what I need to get. the 4 ways work and the
lights don't blink on the dash well the dash like the
speed and rpm don't work sometime's so any help.
I'm helping my friend out and by the way we don't
know if it's a 2000 or a 2001

If it's a 2000 model the tenth character of the VIN will be the letter "Y". If it's a 2001 model the tenth character will be the number " 1". Sounds like a problem with the instrument cluster wiring. Do you have an aftermarket stereo installed? If so, check for a bad ground. This is especially suspect if the gas gauge reads empty when it's not working. If it swings to full it's a bad power connection. HTH. - Jim

Thnx I do have a aftermarket stereo system installed well it's not installed rn my friend's brother tried to hook it up and now the wires are just haning out with out a brace on them to keep them separated from each other

And the gas gauge works but not the light's or the speed and the RPM

Definitely inspect the wiring that's hanging out of the dash. I'm sure you'll find the trouble there. The cluster lights, for example, are tied into the lights for the radio. So it's related to the problems with the cluster. HTH. -Jim
