Make sure that there is nothing in the other seats as there are seat sensors that detect weight, if there is nothing in the other seats then the problem is either in the seat switch that you are in or the seat belt receiver switch, sometimes dirt and junk get into the seat belt receiver preventing a good contact, if you have access to compressed air try blowing out the receivers and see if that works, If it don't then you will need a shop to check it for you, most shops can check this so it doesn't have to be a dealer.

If you or your passengers don't have your seatbelt(s) fastened it's probably designed to do that. My '08 Mercury is like that. It's so you're annoyed into putting your seatbelt on. HTH. -Jim

thank ewe for this advise. I made sure all belts are fastened. it still bings & a light on dash screen flashes lamp out. the lamp out light will be on for 5 mins then off for 30 mins. the binging is intermitent. i believe they are connected. is it a fuse? which one would control lamp out binging? I haul my horses trailer up & down our 2 mile dirt road, i bet something is loose. I hate to have a dealer have it for the day to replace a fuse. can anyone send me a plan of which one it is please? i appreciate your help & suggestions. I try to do the same in my area of knowledge & help 4-Hers with there dilemas/animal problems. sincerely michele
