I have a 2006 2500 Dodge Ram diesel and I can't get out of park. Already replaced the line from the shifter to the tranny and still can't get it to change gears. someone told me there is a brake sensor that allows you to change the gears where is it located
my truck wont come out of park. No tranny problems before last weekend. Changed the
cable from the shifter to the tranny cause I broke it and still truck can't change gears.
this is a sad problem on a nice and valuable truck- if it is a 2 wheel drive, it can be towed from the rear- fortunately- unfortunately, you are trying to fix something that is best done by an expert- it will be more cost effective to take the truck to a good mechanic- it might be as little as $100- why go through all that? If this was an old pickup, sure, fix it yourself- but it is a nice, new truck! just an old guru's opinion
