Will a 99 dodge 2500 long box bed fit on a 2005 2500 long box?

The box on the 2005 2500 is destroyed because of a flat tire down the road.
We are wondering if the box on the 99 dodge would fit.

Those are two different series trucks so it won't "bolt" on and if you adapt it, it will look funny.
