Oil pressure issues

Asked by nate01hannah08 Feb 04, 2016 at 08:48 PM about the 2001 Dodge RAM 2500 SLT Plus Quad Cab LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I asked before why the oil pressure dropped off when let off the throttle. And
went back up when you throttle back up. I did change the oil sender and now
the gauge doesn't move at all. I have an other  gauge I'm going to I stall. The
question is how is do I get the check gauges light to go out? Can I cut the plug
off the harness and conect the wires to get the light to go out? If that doesn't
work how or what do I do to get the light to go out. Any help would be a
appreciated

Agreed! Fix it don't hide it. Try holding the trip reset button and turn the key on. The cluster will go through a cycle and shoot out cluster codes. Might work but might not. About the only way to hide it anyways would be to Blount tape over the light. There's no wire to cut as to that cluster works from a circuit board. You go messing with the board and you won't have any gauges working.
