Full exhaust system or just a muffler?

Asked by Sep 29, 2016 at 12:37 PM about the 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Mega Cab SB 4WD

Question type: Car Customization

I've got an 06 Dodge Hemi 5.7. I've got a cold air
intake on it, and I'm looking into getting an exhaust
on it.
I just want it to be a more efficient. As in breathing
better, improved MPG, a little more power and of
course sounds better too.
What is the best route to go? A full exhaust system
or just replacing the muffler?

A set of long tube headers, dual it out with a crossover pipe aft of the converters, then the mufflers of your choice and dump it either straight out the back or over the rear differential and out sideways. I would however recommend that you go to your local exhaust shop and have the system made, who knows they might be able to save you a few bucks, I know my local shop did on my rig.
