2006 dodge ram 1500 4.7 misfire
My number 7 cylinder keeps
misfiring ive changed the spark plug
twice and now the spark plug and the
ignition coil ive added seafoam to the
oil and the gas and still no change I
need help my husband wont help
either. What is the next thing I can
Along with all that, did you change that spark plug wire? Also I would suggest a compression test particularly on that cylinder, if not all the cylinders for comparison.
I believe that engine uses coil on plug so there is no spark plug wire. There could be damage to the wire that provides power to the coil though.
Are you getting a miss-fire code for number 7 or is there another reason why you think it is a problem?
I dont know how to write back an answer to you but yes my friend has a code reader and it shows that every time we clear it and the engine light comes back on.
And the other answer is yes its a coil ignition sits on top of the spark plug that fits way down inside it has a clip on it that has very small wires on it not like your old normal spark plug wires.
