Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have the hemi, and every now and then when i go to shift from park to any other gear the shifter locks up and the only way to get it to work is to shut the truck off let itsit for 2-5 minutes then try again, sometimes 2 or 3 times. anyone else have this problem?

it sounds like the lockout isnt working correctly. When you have the key on, can you hear a clicking noise anywhere there in the dash area when you hit the break. It might be easier to hear it if you put your ear down by the pedals too.

I have the same problem with my 2005 dodge ram also with the hemi. Mine is only a 2 door 2w drive. If you got the problem fixed let me know what you did.
