2004 dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi #1 cylinder misfire
2004 dodge ram 1500 5.7 hemi, engine had the typical tick which gave way
to #1 cylinder misfire and zero compression number one cylinder. replaced
coil pack and spark plugs still same issue removed valve cover found #1
intake push rod jumped out of seat and all push rods extremely warn
reseated push rod issue went away replaced rocker arms and push rods
now issue has returned could this be a collapsed lifter causing the issue?
What ever the cause I would rebuild the heads at a minimum. Replacing lifters would be wise too. How is your engine compression and oil pressure? How many miles on the engine and are the valve springs weak?
it has roughly 143000 miles springs are in good shape not weak, oil pressure is good. cant tell if valve is sticking or not. prior to the rocker arms and push rods being replaced checked compression before push rod reseat was 0 after jumped straight to 150psi so really confused why after replacing rocker arms issue came back.
