my 2004 dodge ram makes a ticking noise when i start it ones i a while hot or cold while driving my oil pressure gage droped check gauges light came on the noise is not on constantly maybe about 30 sec and then goes away anyone have a clue the noise worries me after i turned off the truck the gauge started working any suggestion .
Have you cheeked your oil!?!?
i just changed my oil a week ago
Check your oil level... Either that or your oil pump is not supplying the engine with enough oil pressure so the oil is not making its way to tighter areas like the lifters and you are hearing ticking from the top-end of the engine.
cool thanks ill check it out .
