2004 ram 1500 4.7 misfire no check engine light
I have a 2004 Dodge ram 1500. Truck is misfiring only when driving. Already
replaced wires and plugs. There is also no oil on the plugs. I had it Scan and there is
no code also, nothing showed on the cylinder misfire calendar. I am stumped and
have seen nothing on the internet relating to this!! Please help
If it truly is misfiring your check engine light should be flashing and a 300 series code set. Could it be possible you're feeling some other vibration? HTH. -Jim
No it's rough only when a load is being put on it. Idols 100% fine but if u put it in drive and put foot on gas and break it will miss
Definitely sounds like a miss. Think it is fuel? Ps thanks for helping
You're welcome. Glad to help. Usually when an engine misfires under load it's an ignition problem. Ignition coils and ignition coil packs can be sneaky when they're failing. Same is true for ignition control modules. They can work fine until they're under load or sometimes when they get hot. HTH. -Jim
