Yu have a short to ground somewhere. Does it blow the fuse when you turn the park lights on or just when you turn the headlights on?

Then try unplugging one headlight at a time and turn the headlights on. The one that blows the fuse has the short on that side. Could be the headlight but more than likely in the wiring to it.

If it blows the fuse with both headlights there is a short in the wiring somewhere from the headlight switch to the headlights.

Look to see if the plug ins are burned/melted at the headlights or headlight switch. If ok, look for any rubbed, melted or chaffed wires from the switch to the headlights.

Well we seemed to have narrowed it down to the headlights due to only blowing the fuse when they are turned on.

Not really. They sell a short finder at advance or autozone I think. You put it on each wire and it will tell you which one and sometimes where it's at.

What do you think causes the wire to short out cold, water age conditions?

44,635

Age and hot, cold conditions. When you find it there will probably 2 wires touching metal to metal with no insulation on them. One power 1 ground.

Thanks for the help get back to you when I find it, I will check AutoZone or advance to that tool
