My 03 Dodge Ram 1500 will run and idle fine but
when I press tha gas fast or hard the truck dies.

Most likely the MAF sensor ,, on most engines you can access it by removing the air filter then clean it with spray that's designed for that sensor.... never touch the fine wire inside the assembly ,, just allow it to dry on it's own after spraying

Is the CES light on. If not how long since a fuel filter change? Throttle position sensor. I also agree with air flow meter.
