Alternator not charging should be charging at 14 volts

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 4.7 Sport. I recently put in a new/used motor because my old one had a bad crankshaft. So after getting new motor in I started the truck and it ran great. I only ran it for about 5 seconds because I noticed I had a broken transmission line. I went back the next day and fixed the line. I went to start the truck back up and nothing happened.
