I should also mention that i had this truck a year not running i diddnt have a need to fix it before because i had a car, then tranny quit so i got motor for truck had a half tank of gas in truck could the gas be bad enough from sitting a year or so to not run on it? Are these engines that picky?

You need to match the computer settings from the donor vehicle or change the computer.

You may have gotten a later model engine of 2002 because at some point they went from a 16 tooth to a 32 tooth on the crankshaft for the crank sensor and if you got the wrong crank tooth configuration then it will give the wrong signals to the computer which in turn will tell you you have a problem with the crank and cam sensor.
