about heating

i have a 2002 ram 1500 SLT,when I TURN THE HEAT ON  I can smell antifreeze, but the truck is not overheating, and i don't see anything leaking on the inside or the outside of the truck,do you think maybe it might be the heater core itself and if so can you get to the heater core through the glove box on that year and make of the truck?

Most likely you have a heater core leaking. It doesn't have to pour out to make it smell, only seep. Sorry, ya gotta pull the dash to replace this one. Be extra gentle - the top of the dash will crumble very easily.

he,s right I just did mine and had to replace the top part of dash broke all apart due to sun.
