why does my dodge ram keep shutting off.. only stays on when i have foot on gas peddal
my 2002 Dodge Ram keeps turning off when i turn it on it only stays on for a little then
shuts off.. only stays on when i have my foot on the gas pedal. i replaced the PCM with a
brand new one from the dealer and still shuts off.. any helpful ideas that it might be?
the throttle position sensor would be my first guess~
this only makes sense (the reading of the OBD-II codes be damned)~
thanks i will check that out
Check the IAC unit, I've seen these bind up and not set a code.
e g r stuck, or most likely air control valve motor sluggish stuck open like unplugging a large vac. hose, or maybe it is a hose off its nub! vac. gauge is a good tool!
kept shutting off on me out of the blue, i thought it was going to be something serious like the computer BUT ALL IT WAS WAS A Ignition Switch. I bought one from autozone the receipt number says LS1259. Hope this helps
F561 I have the same problem but already replace the ignition swich, sensor, cramsafht sensor, tps sensor, I even try another computer and the problem continue can some one please help me?
