why is my 2001 dodge ram 1500 Laramie drinkin alot of gass
Is the check engine light on? You could have a sensor thar is reading incorrectly, but the fact that it is reading something the ECM is not setting a code. You may have to do a lev data test to find it. How are your spark plugs, air filter, PCV?
Oh mine does too. But how long since your last tune up. Plugs, plug wires, dist cap, rotor button, air filter, fuel filter, ect. Might try running an injector cleaner in your next tank of fuel. I use sea foam. Also driving habit will greatly affect gas mileage. Do you take off easy or act like its race day? Long idle times affect it too. Do you drive around 55 or 75 miles an hour? Faster you go more gas used. Oh and if it's an automatic trans make sure you are using overdrive and that overdrive is actually working. My sons 2000 dodge the overdrive cylinoid went out and his gas mileage dropped big time.
