I Have 2001 dodge ram sport..when I don't use 4 wheel it turns left and right perfect but when I use any 4 wheel low or high and turn and shimmys kinda like jerks..and I have no idea what that would be ball joints replaced wheel alignment don't just when I use 4 wheel
Does it just do it on dry pavement or in the grass, dirt or gravel as well?
never went it grass or gravel just pavement even when its wet like snow or rain it still does it...kinda sounds like a a hard knock here and there but jerks more then anything..steering wheel jerks also
Ok, you should not drive a 4x4 engaged in 4wd on dry pavement. It will tear up your front end. If it's making noise in snow or wet pavement then it could be the front axles, axle bearings, front differential or even your transfer case. Have it looked at by a REPUTABLE mechanic.
