Instrument panel problems
I have a 99 Dodge Laramie 1500 series extended cab
pickup, the instrument panel everything except for the
speedometer is bouncing back and forth. I replaced the
instrument panel and it is still doing the same thing, any
advice on what to do next?
You may have a signal Buss connection problem, check all of the instrument panel circuits including the grounds, if you do not locate a problem there then onto the ECM and BCM circuits.
Checking the grounds, lights and all are bright, where do I find ecm and bcm circuits? What do I look for with them?
Lights are separate circuits, ground connections for the dash will be on the dash support rails attached to both drivers and passenger side of the body on the inside, check for a clean and tight connections, the ECM, BCM connections will be on the engine, firewall, and the all through the the control systems harness, best to have a wiring diagrams and componet locator on hand as it can be a real time saver in locating connection points. Not an eaisy or fast job.
I accidentally hooked my battery backwards and had the same problem did you ever figure out the problem?
