Truck idles rough
I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500, and a few days
ago it started idling rough. If I start it to fast then it
just dies over and over again. But if I turn the key on
for a few seconds before I turn it over then it starts
but idles really rough unless I keep the rpms at
around 1000 for a few minutes. After that it stays
running but still doesn't idle like it should.
Clean or replace Idle Air Control valve or Mass Air Flow sensor depending on which one your vehicle has.
Also would not hurt to check and replace air filter if necessary.
Okay sweet thank you both. I was just hoping it wasn't the fuel filter.
