1998 Dodge Ram 1500 gas was siphoned, on the way to the station ran
gas, put in gas from can. Started until putting in more gas from station,
chugged and wont start now. Restarted barely ran chugging, now wont
start. Water in Fuel? How do I correct this without changing the fuel pump?
Don't laugh at my screen name, all the easy ones were taken. Besides that
who wouldn't want to be in heaven :)
Since you ran out of gas there's a very good possibly the fuel pump is burned out. The gasoline flowing through the pump cools and lubricates the electric motor. Turn on the ignition but don't try to start it. You should hear the pump run for a few seconds. If not, fuel pump is bad. HTH. -Jim
