I lost my key fob and could not get the factory alarm to shut off, The passenger door lock was the secret.

I have a Dodge Ram 1500. The remote key that disarms the factory alarm won't disengage the security system. Their is supposed to be some hidden switch some place, but no one knows where it is.

dodge is a piece of chit, can't even change a battery without the dealer being involved. Drive leave it on the other side of town with the keys in it and a set of jumper cables in the back seat and leave it! I went back to Ford after having a Ram for a week. The door alarm, the radio.....everything except the positraction read end is garbage...but stock in gasoline.

None of my fobs work, I changed the batteries, but they still don't work. Every time I open the door with the key, the alarm goes off. How do I dis-arm the alarm on 2012 Ram 1500??

Put the battery on a trickle charge and then put the key in and turn it on. Leave the key on for 10 minutes and then turn it off. Repeat this 3 times for a total of 30 minutes. It should override the security.

When trying to turn on my truck, the horn goes off, as well as the head and tail lights. Apparent factory alarm issue. I noticed the red blinking light on the left side of the dash. I removed the battery a few times trying to reset computer and didn't work. Locked and unlocked doors and no change. Last, with one cable on the battery disconnected, turned the ignition on, reconnected the battery cable and the truck cranked up. It worked for me. I hope it works for you. 2002, RAM 1500 SLT, QUAD CAB, RWD

I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota V8 and I did like some suggested. I made sure my battery was charged and then I stuck my key in the DRIVERS door and locked and unlocked my car 3 times, I heard a loud high pitch sound and then when my key relocked it on my on my last turn, and after the sound quit, I used the key fob to unlock my door. No horn and no clicking of the alarm module with the security light blinking on and off. So, I put the key in the ignition and it started right up. Before, it wouldn’t start and the horn would go off. Thanks to all that posted this on the internet, as it worked and now my sanity has returned...

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram1500 and it won’t start. There is a red light blinking in this dash. We think it has something to do with the security system but not sure. What can I do to reset the security system?
