Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1998 dodge ram 1500. I changed
the battery terminals and now when I try
to start it everything loses power. Any
suggestions?

Sounds like a loose connection on those terminals, or bad ground to frame, or bad terminal wires. Is frame rusty?

No everything looks good. I had to cut the power wiers off the old terminal and I think that has something to do with it

Do not splice battery terminal wires together unless your using the melted lead pour method of splicing. Buy new battery terminal wires. I do not know what your doing there because the way you stated it but you need a full wire, now if its the little wires that also go the main terminal wire or terminal wire clamp then you can splice them if needed with good connectors (like bullet connectors so you can disconnect when needed).

There is 2 positive wires so I splice them together and ithent didn't work so I put cable lugs on them to separate them and still not working

I figured it out. There's a coating on them I had to scrap it off to get a connection. Thanks for the info
