Oil is on bottom of alternator

Asked by Dec 10, 2015 at 06:10 PM about the 2001 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can't see where oil is coming from

1 Answer

It would be coming from the engine somewhere up on top, like the front of the intake most likely or valve cover, pcv system or breather. Unless it is getting blown up from a leaky power steering hose. Just look where there is the most grease, oil, dirt.
