Is there an outside adustment to help an automatic transmission grab into gears?

Asked by Nov 04, 2013 at 06:56 AM about the 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 2 Dr LT 4WD Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After sitting overnight or longer it does not grab any gears until the engine is reved up high. After that it shifts all gears fine. Fluid is full. I did replace this transmission 2 years ago and it shifted fine. This is not a daily driven truck.
