What does the Gen. light mean?

Sounds like the alternator is getting weak.also have battery and cable ends checked.

You can take it to any auto parts store, they'll test the charging system for free (battery and alternator).

Generator (alternator) not charging. You need to have it checked out ASAP or it will get to the point to where the engine will stop and you'll be stranded, since battery is not being charged due to bad alternator.

Check the 140A fuse in your fuse box with the red and black battery wires running to it. That fuse link runs your charging system.

My son's truck runs good but when u go to take off it spits and sputters and dies on ur it jerks so hard it will gove u a whiplash .. Then dies and doesn't wanna start back but when u drive in reverse it runs good but when u hold brake and hit gas it doesnt spit and sputter but every time he has tried to drive it it always wanna spit and sputter and die he has changed the following 1. Pickup Module under distributor 2. Spark plugs & all wires 3. Map Sensor 3. The other 2 sensor on throttle body The truck been sitting for over a year with gas in it .. We need answers I'm tired of seeing him put,money into this truck and it isnt even fixing the problem

Can anybody answer this mine is doing the same thing

I have Aldo checked all fuses that I know of and all are good. I've been stuck on this issue for awhile. It's the only one that had me completely stumped!
