Question type: General

What could be shorted out to make it not
have fuel or fire

Most common is a shorted fuel pump, but that usually blows the fuel pump fuse, not a fuse link, they are for main power supplies like for alternator or headlights and to the main power distribution box, you are going to need a wiring diagram for this rig so I suggest you get one that has a good set of diagrams in it, if you can't find one then your local library should have one in the reference section that you can get copies from.
